Jeff Creek, North Canol Road, Yukon
One of the many tributaries to the South Macmillan River, Jeff Creek meanders slowly through the wetlands shortly before the Macmillan Pass crosses into the Northwest Territories. This is the traditional hunting ground of the Kaska Dena, full of moose, deer, sheep and beaver. In late summer, you find their hunting camps all along the road. It’s also the building site for our “Get-away-cabin” (just dreaming).
